Introducing Millie!! Miss Millie is available for adoption.
Millie is approximately a year old and weighs around 50 pounds. She is crate trained, UTD on shots, and does well with dogs and cats. She is a little shy at first, but warms up very quickly. Small children tend to scare her so she would do best with older children or no children in the home. She is spayed and ready for her forever home!!
Hi, I'm Baby and I'm approximately a 9 year old Chihuahua. I'm a Queen and act like one too. I only want attention when I want it and will let you know when I don't. Two of my favorite things are playing with toys and going for car rides! Those cat things are okay too, I could always use a maid servant! I like all the attention so I would do best in a single person house with no kids. I do allow meet and greets with dogs my size, so a small jester to add to my court would be fun. I am heart worm negative and up to date on all shots. I do have a heart murmur, but that's being treated very well with two, very inexpensive medications.
Charlie's human mom got very ill and was no longer able to care for this distinguished, 15 yr old, Chihuahua mix, good boy. He has been in our care for a few weeks and is healthy other than a slight heart murmur (grade 1) that does not require medication at this time. Charlie is good with dogs, cats, and older or well supervised children. He has been on antibiotics to prepare for a dental surgery and had 18 teeth removed today. The veterinarian did not feel it was safe to keep him under anesthesia any longer, so he was not able to be neutered. Because he is still intact, he is in need of a forever foster.
Hey! My name is Sadie and I'm a big girl, but I prefer the term "Hefty". I"m a St. Bernard/Great Pyrenees mix. My mom died in a car accident 5 years ago and my dad just couldn't take care of me anymore. You see, I'm blind and have diabetes. The great people at Misfit Dog Project are working really hard to get my blood sugar just right. My current foster family say that I'm a real gentle giant and a lover. They even called me Lovely! Who knew I could be lovely? I am now heart worm negative, spayed and up to date on my vaccines. I'm just looking for a home to call mine and a family to love me. I don't ever want to be homeless again because someone can't handle me any more. Are you the one who will love me forever?
Hello everyone! My name is Nilla and I'm looking for a home to call my own. As with most dogs at Misfit Dog Project I am special needs; however, I make up for it with all the love I have to give. I am an 11 year old lab mix, insulin dependent diabetic, and am blind in the one eye I still have. It doesn't bother me too much though, I feel like a pirate most of the time. ARRRRR Matey! I cannot stand cats, they are too demanding and prissy for my liking. I do like dogs, but it does take me a bit to warm up to them. If there are older kids in the home, that is okay, but probably best to not have littles around. I think I would do well with an empty nest couple who can give me all their love and attention. I have a lot of love and sweetness to offer. Will you be the one I get to give it too?
Indy is a black lab mix and has a jaw injury acquired during birth. She is so tiny that x-rays do not show what exactly is wrong with her jaw. She has an appointment for a CT scan with the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. She will be having a very invasive surgery here soon once she gets a little older. We are having an Indy 500 fund raiser for Indy's medical expenses. Click on "Adopt a Senior" and donate if you find it in your heart to help this beautiful girl get the medical attention she so desperately needs.
Ms. Jazzy is a 10+ year old schnauzer mix. She has a tumor on her neck as well as bladder stones and is currently on antibiotics and pain medication. She is being treated by Dr. Bob in Pigeon Forge.Jazzy's first surgery to remove the growth from her neck is scheduled for mid-November. If she is doing well, the vet will also attempt to remove her bladder stones at the same time. Jazzy is approximately 11 years old and does well with cats and dogs. She is a wise older lady who knows to potty outside, but due to the bladder stones has to urinate frequently, and sometimes has little accidents inside. Her ear and skin infections are completely healed and she no longer requires frequent medicated baths.
